Joseph "Lil Joe" Pierre Jr.

Mr. Joseph "Lil Joe" Pierre Jr., age 66, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Marrero Health Care in Marrero, Louisiana.  Born on October 26, 1959, in New Orleans, Louisiana, he lived a life rooted in family, hard work, and cherished traditions.

Joseph was a proud graduate of John Martyn High School. He went on to build a long-standing career as a truck driver, dedicating many years to the open road and the responsibilities that came with it. His work ethic and commitment were evident to all who knew him.

Outside of his profession, Joseph found joy in simple pleasures—especially fishing and spending time with family and friends. Whether casting a line or sharing stories over a meal, he valued connection and community above all else.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughters Nikita, Aureayne, and Deshanda; his son Joseph Jr.; and his siblings Alvin Sr., Yulanda, Rodney Sr., and Terrence.  Joseph was also a proud grandfather to four granddaughters and six grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lelia D. Pierre, as well as his beloved granddaughter Ma'Siya.

Joseph will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. May his memory bring comfort and peace to those whose lives he touched. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church located at 433 Avondale Garden Rd., Avondale LA. 70094. The visitation will begin at 8:30AM followed by a 10AM service.  Pastor Damien Brown will officiate.
