Joseph Edward "Brylcreem" Jones Jr. of Oakville LA., departed this life peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Ochsner Hospital Westbank Campus surrounded by his loving family. He was 98 years old and was born at Charity Hospital in New Orleans on October, 17, 1927 to the late Belma and Joseph Edward Jones Sr. He is survived by his children; Cassandra, Darlene and Kevin Sullen, Joanna Modacure Ratley and Zachary Jones, 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and devoted friends. He was predeceased by is loving wife Florence Sullen Jones, his parents, and his children; Florence, Patricia and Cherryl Sullen and Adeline Taylor.
 

Relatives and friends of the family, officers and members of Oakville B.C. (Bishop Wilfret Johnson), St. Peter B.C. (Dr. Darnell Smith), and all neighboring churches, employees of Barriere Construction, Jefferson Parish Schools and Inspiration House Care Providers Inc. are invited to attend the Celebration Of Life Service on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Robinson Family Funeral Home 9611 LA-23, Belle Chasse LA. 70037. The visitation will begin at 8:30AM followed by a 10AM service. Pastor John Powell of Anointed Word Ministries will officiate and interment will follow in Oakville Cemetery.
