Johnnie Wilson Sr.

JOHNNIE WILSON, SR. entered into eternal life on Wednesday, January 22, 202 at St. Luke Living Center in Algiers, LA. He was 79 years old and was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 12, 1940 to the union of the late Isiah, Sr. and Louise Seymour Wilson.

Johnnie is a retired Landscaper at Timberlake Golf Course. He was united in holy matrimony to Sherlene Sanders Wilson on September 25, 1963. This union was blessed with 5 children Lisa, Samantha, Johnny Wilson, Jr. and Celeste Felo, Darlene (deceased).

He was the brother of the late Isiah, Jr. Robert, Sr. and Joseph Wilson. Three sisters the late Florence Gary, Nancy and Leola Wilson. He is also survived by

4 sister in laws, and 2 brother in laws.  15 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastor, officers and members of Second Nazarine Baptist Church, Second Baptist Church and all neighboring churches in Algiers are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at

 Second Nazarine Baptist Church 3062 Boyd Street Algiers, LA 70131. The public visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. service Reverend Peter L. Crawford, Jr. will officiate and burial will follow in Rest Lawn Cemetery Avondale, LA.
