Joan Ann (Walters) Mackie passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the age of 65, just one day after celebrating her birthday. Born on April 17, 1961 to Audrey Jean Walters, Joan was a woman of strength and faith.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Candace Walters. Joan now joins the love of her life, the late Manuel Mackie, and her late sons, Albert Feazell and Jabari Walters, in eternal rest.
Family and friends are invited to attend services at 10 AM on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Second Zion Baptist Church, 6520 Second Zion Ave, Marrero, LA. Bishop James Nelson Brown will officiate. The visitation will begin at 9AM.
