JEFFREY "SCOTTIE" BERNERT age 45, formally of New Holland, Ohio, died September 30, 2024, in Belle Chasse, LA.
He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Letha Bernert, formally of New Holland, Ohio, daughter, Cheye'anne Rivet, of Mandeville, LA, 3 sisters, Kelly Blair of Belle Chasse, LA, Dawn (Dave) Deyo of Grove City, OH, and Mindy Gough (Kelly) of Belle Chasse, LA. He is also survived by 6 nephews, Steven (Madelaine) Blair, Zachary Blair, Aaron Deyo, Zane Deyo, Nathan Curliss, and Bryce Curliss, as well as 3 aunts and uncles and several cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Francis "Fuzzy" (Dorothy "Dot" Artman) Bernert and Hubert (Phylene Melvin) Harr, and his sweet Jack Russell (Izzabel).
Scott worked as a bricklayer, building homes and building fences. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes, looking for lizards and bugs with Cheye, making sling shots from scrap materials, and tinkering with anything he could tear apart and put back together.
Visitation will be held 9 am Thursday October 10th at the Robinson Family Funeral Home in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Services to begin at 11am. Burial will follow at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery in Belle Chasse.
