Jarred Ross Scott

Jarred Ross Scott was born on March 9th, 1994, to the union of Mrs. Evelyn Scott and Mr. Roland Scott III in Lake Charles, La. He was raised in Gretna, LA, where he was loved and cared for by his loving grandparents, Mrs. Norma Southall and Mr. Irvin Southall. Jarred passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the age of 27. He is proceeded in death by his grandparents Mrs. Leontine Bilbo, Mr. Olean J. Bilbo, Mr. Roland Scott Jr. and his sister, Joy Scott. Jarred is survived by three brothers Joshua Scott, Justin Bilbo and Jordan Johnson, and a host of aunts, uncles and Cousins. 

Jarred was devoted Christian. He gave his life to Christ being baptized at a very young age at Regular Baptist church. He grew up singing in the church choir amongst other church activities. He was a graduate of John Ehret High School. Jarred enjoyed working as a server in the New Orleans area. He also enjoyed working on cars and traveling. Jarred had a gift for making others laugh. Family and friends would label him as the free spirit, always with a joke or a smile.  

Jarred was a humble and sweet person. He would often drop everything just to go and check on his grandparents, even if to just say” Hi”. He loved to hang out with his little brother, Joshua. The two were best friends and practically inseparable. Jarred touched everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by anyone that knew him.  

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life services on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at St. Stephen Baptist Church located at 1738 L.B. Landry, Blvd, Algiers, LA 70114.  The visitation will begin at 2 p.m., and the funeral service will begin at 3 p.m.  Pastor Joseph Hampton of St. Mark B.C. of Gretna, LA, officiating, and interment will be private. 

Due to COVID – 19, EVERYONE in attendance MUST wear a facemask or other proper facial covering and practice social distancing.
