Janice Elizabeth Smith Goods age 66, entered this life on Wednesday, August 1, 1956 to the union of the late Melvin Smith and Sylvia Charles. She was a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans LA. and was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at University Medical Center in New Orleans.

Beloved companion of 30 years of Ricky Lyons. Devoted mother of Kenya Jarreau (Jeffery) and Kortney Smith. Sister of John Legier, Morvon Washington (Farren), William Washington (Tanya), Deirdra Washington-Cleggett (George), Devon Washington (Wendy) and Thelma Washington. Grandmother of Dajon and Shaniya Jarreau, Sequoia Everidge and the late Kortney Smith Jr. Bonus mother of Anthony Whavers, Shakeea and Rhakeea Lyons. Godmother of the late George Cleggett Jr. Granddaughter of the late Thelma Cade Celestin and William C. Celestin. Niece of Charles Norwood and the late Elane Domio and the late Deblon Norwood. Janice is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at St. Jude Catholic Church located at 411 N. Rampart St. New Orleans LA. 70112 beginning at 10A.M. Father Tony Rigoli. OMI will officiate. Interment will be private.
