James Larry Pierce Jr.

James Larry Pierce Jr., departed this life unexpectedly on Friday January 1, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He was born on March 24, 1969 to the late James Larry Pierce Sr., & Louise Lewis Pierce in New Orleans, LA. 

He is the husband of Maria Salazar – Pierce.  Father of Jacinta Willis, Jy’tetia Pierce, Jada Pierce, Jamya Pierce, Semaj Pierce, Ja’Niya Scott, Ja’Aera Scott, Kareem Andrews, Keona Andrews, James Cheatteam, James Augustine, and Yasmine Haywood.  He is the brother of James (Rabbit) Riggins, Sharon Riggins, Jerome Boatner, Lovella Williams, Shirlonda Lindsey, Shalaska Lindsey, Latanya Lindsey, Larrynisha Johnson, Shakhalila Johnson, and Khalil (Kilia) Johnson.  He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and devoted friends. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the graveside services on Friday, January 22, 2021, at Restlawn Park Cemetery located at 3450 LA – 90 West, Avondale, LA., 70094 at 11 a.m.  Pastor Jeanne LeBlanc of Christian Community Outreach Church officiating. 

Due to COVID – 19, EVERYONE in attendance MUST wear a facemask or other proper facial covering, and practice social distancing.
