James Albert Perkins, Jr

James Albert Perkins Jr. departed this life peacefully at his home in Port Sulphur LA. on Monday, May 13, 2024. He was 86 years old. Mr. Perkins was a retired fisherman who was born in Memphis Tennessee on December 2, 1937 to the union of the late James Albert Perkins Sr. and Ella Mae Daniels Perkins. He is the devoted husband of Nell Ann Demolle Perkins. Beloved father of Crystal Hinton, James III, Phillip, Jarvis and Romona Perkins. Beloved stepfather of Antonio, Gerry and Steven James, Shelia Scott, Lisa Parker, Pamela Roberts, Lionel Scott Jr. Lanell Scott, Chanel Gause and Annie Marshall. Brother of Jack Perkins. Mr. Perkins is also survived by a host of grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Robinson Family Funeral Home located at 9611 LA-23, Belle Chasse LA. The visitation will begin at 9:30AM followed by an 11AM service officiated by Pastor Troy Gause of Cross Community Church of Marrero LA. Interment will be private.
