JAMES GREGORY FRANKLIN, SR.
James Franklin, Sr. entered eternal rest at his home on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the age of 72. He was a native of Lower Coast Algiers and a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. James was a Retiree of the United States Air Force. Loving father of James G. Franklin, Jr. Son of the late Octave Franklin, Sr. and Theresa Noil Franklin. Brother of Lucille F. Jones (late Wilbert Jones, Sr.), Doris Sanchez Alveris (late Walter Alveris), Emelda Gabriel (Raymond), Iris Black (Abraham), Theresa Franklin Ross (Mack III), Benjamin Franklin, Sr., Ray Anthony Franklin (Lavetta) and the late Octave Franklin, Jr. Devoted Godfather of La Tashia Franklin-Williams (Joshua). Mr Franklin is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Robinson Family Funeral Home, 9611 LA-23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037 on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 1100 a.m. The visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until service time.
Interment with military honors will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery 34888 Grantham College Dr. Slidell, LA 70460 at 10am
