Ivy Joan Franklin departed this life on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at her home in Boothville, LA surrounded by her loving family. She was 63 years old. She is the daughter of the late Louis Joseph Franklin and Vivian Olma Taylor Barthelemy. Stepdaughter of Louis “Boothville Red” Barthelemy.
To know Ivy was to absolutely love her genuinely infectious and humorous spirit. Ivy was generous, willing to give whatever she could to help anyone. She was an independent straight shooter of a woman, it was how the village raised her to be, always coming from a place of love and pure intention. Ivy loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends sharing her bigger than life smile and personality. She will be carried in the hearts of all who loved her especially her son whom she’s said to have loved more than life itself.
Loving mother of Kyle Quinn Franklin (Amber) and sister of Rene White, Lisa Taylor, Connie Franklin, Sabrina B. Coleman (Nick), Louie Randy Barthelemy (Charlene), Don Anthony Barthelemy, Ernie Paul Barthelemy (Kenya), Danny Ray Barthelemy (Michelle), and Joseph Franklin.
