Iric "Poppa" Cryer

On Thursday, December 10, 2020, Iric “Poppa” Cryer transitioned to his heavenly home peacefully with his family at his bedside at the age of 46. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Algiers, LA.  Iric attended LB Landry High School in Algiers.  

Beloved son of the late Idella R. Cryer and Jerry Bernard Wells. Beloved brother of Cadette Jones Hall (Rocky), Gilda Wells Blanton (Robert), Diana Lynn Wells and Darrell Cryer.  He is also survived by his sister-in-law Angela Shiloh Cryer; Five nieces Charisma Carter-Bell (Darren) Cherise Carter, Darrionea Cryer, Jerrion and NyJae Blanton; Four nephews Trebor Blanton, Justin and Stephen Cryer; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.  Iric was preceded in death by his mother Idella R. Cryer and father Jerry Bernard Wells; brother Reginald Cryer, sister Patrica Ann Wells; and one nephew Larry Blackman and his grandparents,  

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration viewing on Saturday December 26, 2020 at Robinson Family Funeral Home; 9611 LA-23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037 from 9:30A.M until 11:30A.M. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery and Mausoleum 3540 US-90, Avondale, LA 70094.
