Ida Mae Piquet Tate beloved wife of the late John D. Tate passed on July 13, 2022, at the age of 94. Born to Abel and Angelica Piquet of Davant, LA. She is the eldest of 10 children. Mother to Lucien, Dianne, Barry, John, and Leo. A lifetime learner and lover of cooking, she was a chef at multiple restaurants until 2005. She is survived by siblings: Alice Barthelemy wife of the late Chris Barthelemey and Norma Williams (Tony). Mother to Dianne Frederick (John), Barry LaFrance and Leo Tate (Annie). Grandmother to Lucien LaFrance, Shawn Frederick, Marlon LaFrance, Darrin Robinson, Terrence Frederick, Keith LaFrance, Robert LaFrance, Cory LaFrance, Monique Jimcoily, Brandi LaFrance, Danielle Tate, Nicole Logwood, Remondo Logwood, LaRhonda Fields, and Arianne Logwood.
She is also survived by 23 great grandchildren 5 great great grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Services which will be held on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022, at Robinson Family Funeral Home located at 9611 LA – 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037. The visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m., and the service will begin at 10 a.m. Father Sampson Abduli officiating and entombment will follow at St. Martin’s Cemetery in Davant, LA.
