Herford Parker

Herford "Nutsie" Parker, age 84, peacefully entered into the arms of God early Wednesday morning September 17, 2025, when he heard God whisper "Happy birthday my child, you may come on home". He was the beloved father of Timothy Q. Parker (Alethia), Norbert L. Allen (Leslie) and Capella Young- Mayo Darryl). Son of the late Isaiah and Almedia Parker. Herford was a native of Vacherie LA. and a resident of Avondale LA. for many years. He is also survived by a brother Herbert Parker, his grandchildren Kyra Parker, JuVrelle Smart, Ka'Ron Allen, Norbert L. Allen Jr., CoCo Williams, Davon Young and Todrel Young, nieces; Yvette Payne (Ferdinand), and Yolanda Phoenix, nephew; Donald Edgerson (Angel), longtime friends; James Howard and Lorraine Mitchell (mother of his son Timothy), as well as a host of great nieces and great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Herford was a member of 2nd Salvation Church in Bridge City, LA. where he gave his life to Christ. He later became a member of St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church in Marrero. He retired from Avondale Shipyard after 30 years but went back to work years later as a security guard with Scheuering Security Service until March of 2025. He was predeceased by his parents, Isaiah Parker Sr. and Almedia Parker, his siblings; Sedonia Parker, Isaiah Parker Jr. and Earl Williams, and his grandson; Michael M.W. Emery.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial service on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Robinson Family Funeral Home 9611 LA-23, Belle Chasse LA. 70037 at 2PM.
