Helen L. Spears

Helen L. Spears departed this life on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.  She was 93 years old and was born in Grangeville, Louisiana to the late Gene and Lizzie Lee. 
She was the loving wife of 53 years to the late Cleveland Spears Sr.  Mother of Bernadine Alexander (Richard), Gloria Turner (Brian), Glenda Spears, Cleveland Spears Jr (Linda), and Janet Pinkins (late Felton).  She is the grandmother to 12 children, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great -  great grandchild.  Left to cherish her memories are her children, grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Cleveland Spears Sr., parents Gene and Lizzie Lee, granddaughter Dynel Spears, son in law, Felton Pinkins, her 3 sisters Elmer L. Collins, Frankie D. Wright, and Matilda Rankins, 4 brothers Wilbert Lee, Edward Lee, Leon Lee, and Mose Lee.  

Helen was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 64 years.  She was associated with the Bywater Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial talk on Saturday, April 10, 2021, which will be held via Zoom.  The talk will begin at 2 p.m.  For Zoom information please contact 985 – 235 – 0238.
