Harold Phillips was the devoted companion of the late Georgia M. Powell, whom he always confessed to anyone, and everyone was the LOVE OF HIS LIFE. He departed this life on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Ochsner Hospital Westbank Campus at 4:15 p.m. He was 63 years old.
He is the son of the late Harold Phillips and Edith Williams Phillips. He is survived by his daughters Terriana (Kemmy Sr) Landry, Tatana (Dawand Sr), Smith, Karasaka (Kendrick Sr) Smith, and LeTrinda (Daron Sr) Williams. Brother of Clyde Phillips, Garland Phillips (Gil), Ernest Godchaux, Carolyn Godchaux, Steward (Yolanda) Phillips, Robin Phillips, Bruce (Carla) Phillips, Julie (Joseph) Duplessis and the late Eric Phillips.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Troy (Jelisa) Harvey Jr., Tarrah Harvey, Korbi (Lacie) Williams, Roberto Williams Jr., Tatjana and Dawand Smith Jr., Kierilyn, Kennede’, Kyelin, and Kendrick Smith Jr., Darionne (Isiah) Allen Sr., Daron Powell Sr., Daronae and Darmon Williams, and 10 great grandchildren. Harold is the nephew of Frances Ancar, and Geraldine (Reverend Bennie) Ancar. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 9th, 2021, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church located at 28683 LA – 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037. The visitation will begin at 9 a.m., and Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Father Gerald Stapleton officiating, and entombment will follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Cemetery.
