Glenda Bradley Obituary

With humble acceptance of God's will, we, the family of Glynda Marie Bradley, announce the transition of our Beloved into the loving arms of the Most High. Our dear Glynda Marie Bradley entered God's Kingdom on April 22, 2024, at the age of 65, surrounded by her loving family. We were not ready to let her go, but we know that we will be reunited again in time.

Glynda was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Bradley, Sr and Mildred Sanders Bradley, her brother Louis Bradley, Jr, and her nephews Brian Johnson and Louis Bradley, III.

Glynda is survived by her devoted children Casha Jones Moses (Keron), Jordan Jones (Ahmad Braud) Atiba Watts as well as her grandchildren; Keron Moses Jr., Kylon Moses, Xael Braud, Xen Braud and Xun Braud whom she loved dearly.

Glynda was married to Sterling Jones in 1987. From their union they welcomed their two beautiful daughters, Casha Serene, and Jordan Chastity. Glynda then welcomed her only son, Atiba Watts, with longtime partner Barry Watts.

Glynda is also survived by her siblings: Melvina Johnson, Mable Odgen (Calvin), Gregory Bradley, Anthony Bradley, Eric Bradley, Rosalind Smith, Roland Bradley (Linda), Byron Bradley Sr., Stephanie Watts (Wendell) and Ericka Martin (Troy); her Aunt Berniece Sanders and a host of devoted nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her immensely. With a large family and an even larger group of friends, the impact of Glynda's passing is truly and deeply felt.

Undoubtedly, she will be forever missed and always remembered, especially for her love of all things beautiful. Glynda was an avid collector of beautiful things, an artist by nature and lover of antique and vintage furnishings, clothing, and jewelry. She had her own style of decorating and fashion that was uniquely "Glyn". She was a naturalist and loved decorating with plants (although she hated caterpillars), she had somewhat of a green thumb. But her true passion in life was her family. Glynda was a wonderful, loving mother who gave her all to her children and grandchildren (GiGi's babies). She was a kind, caring and generous person who always put the needs of her family before her own, from the eldest to the youngest. Not a day went by when Glynda didn't talk to her children and family. She and her older sister, Mable, would talk on the phone throughout the day, several times a day. She always had time for us, her family, she was a confidante to us all. Her kind and nonjudgemental spirit made it easy to talk to her and confide in her. We could always count on her to lend a listening ear. Her family was arguably her most prized possession. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity, even to the very end, quietly yet courageously battling her own illness.

Glynda's legacy of kindness, creativity and generosity is a testament to her beautiful soul. Known for her brilliant eyes and radiant smile, Glynda made every atmosphere she graced brighter. She was the kindest, funniest, wittiest, most loving soul and a pure joy to be around. Her tenacity in the face of adversity will forever be remembered by all those who loved and admired her.

Glynda was known by many names: Mom, GiGi, Nanny, Deenie, Glyn, Lyn, Lynnie Lou, etc. because she was so many things to so many people. Her compassionate heart was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. The impression she left on all our lives will always be remembered, she will be missed more than words could ever describe. GLYNDA's memory will be forever cherished by her family and friends. Her legacy as a Mother, Grandmother, Godmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend will endure, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all. In our hearts, she lives on, and we will forever honor the legacy of a remarkable woman who made a lasting impact on all our lives.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us as we celebrate the life of Glynda Marie Bradley with a visitation on Monday, May 6th, 2024 from 6pm to 8pm., at Robinson Family Funeral Home in Belle Chasse, LA.
