Gertrude Therese Taplet

Gertrude Therese Taplet departed this life on Monday, May 22nd, 2023, at Ochsner Hospital, Westbank Campus. She was 64 years old. She was born on February 14th, 1959, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the union of the late Albert Taplet Sr., and Anna J. Taplet.

Left to cherish her memories is her son, Tebah Taplet Sr., (Chanda), two grandchildren, Antonique Slaughter and Tebah Taplet Jr. Two sisters Cecclia Pedescleaux and Shelia T. Gibson and one brother, Wade Taplet (Sheryl). 4 nieces, Shannel Taplet, Carlis Robertson (Bradley), Cheka Pedescleaux and Victoria Bush. 6 nephews, Shennen Lee (Nicole), Chad Taplet, Lance Pedescleaux, Louis Pedescleaux (Deborah), Troy and Dwayne Brown.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Anna Taplet Sr., her grandparents, sister Sandra T. Jones and brother Albert Taplet Jr., and sister in law Diane L. Taplet.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life service which will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Robinson Family Funeral Home 9611 State Highway 23, Belle Chasse, Louisiana, 70037. The visitation will begin at 9 a.m., and the service at 10 a.m. Reverend Jordan L. Robinson Sr., officiating, and interment will be private.
