Gerard Alexander Ingraham Sr. departed this life peacefully on Sunday, December 10th, 2023, at Saint Agnes Healthcare in Breaux Bridge LA. He was 90 years old and a native and lifelong resident of Port Sulphur LA. until relocating to Lafayette LA. following Hurricane Katrina. Mr. Ingraham was retired from both Freeport McMoran and the Plaquemines Parish Government. He also served his country in the United States Army.
Son of the late Abraham P. Ingraham and the late Annie Encalade Ingraham. Beloved husband of Patricia Reddick Ingraham. Devoted father of Gerard Alexander Ingraham Jr., Victor John Ingraham Sr., Joseph Blake Ingraham Sr., Reinette Dene't Ingraham, Garland Ricardo Ingraham Sr., and the late Mark Anthony and Eric Sandy Ingraham. Brother of August Ingraham Sr. and the late Allen, Marie, Emelda, Julian, Anita, Cecile, Bernadine, Margaret, Phillip, Rose and Joseph Ingraham Sr. Mr. Ingraham is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, Godchildren, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at St. Patrick Catholic Church located at 28698 LA-23, Port Sulphur LA., 70083.
The visitation will begin at 8AM., memorial tributes will begin at 9:45AM. and the Mass will begin at 10:30AM. Father Gerard Stapleton will celebrate the Mass and entombment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
