FREDDIE WILLIAMS, transitioned to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at his home in Westwego LA. The Lord saw that Freddie had become weary of the trials and tribulations of his earthly journey. He called him home to live eternally and he gladly accepted his invitation at the age of 77. Freddie was born on June 1, 1944, in New Orleans LA. to the late Alice and Fred Williams. In February of 2006 Freddie married the love of his life Bernadette Ellis Williams. Freddie, know as “Patna” was a wonderful person and a good man with a huge heart for his family. Before becoming ill, you could always expect a good home cooked meal whenever you visited. He would always say he didn’t need to go to a restaurant because he could cook any meal himself. Freddie leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Bernadette Ellis Williams; his children, Andre Williams, Ann Bridges (Joe), Jacquelyn Washington (Bishop Tyrone Sr.), and Nicole Smith (Cedric), his siblings, Glen Williams, Leonard Franklin, Shirley Hall (Stewart), Sylvia Franklin, Johnnie Washington (Ronald) and Reynetta Brown; 12 grandchildren Chelsea Paul (Emmanuel), Nicholas Smith (Amber), Tyrone Washington Jr., JoQuise Bridges, Tylyn Washington, Tyaj Washington, Tylea Washington, Caitlin Smith, Andrenique Ford, Andre Ford, Andrenisha Hale and Zianca Bailey; great grandchildren, Alijah smith, Alonzo Smith, Neeko Smith, Ayden Washington and Ayriah Washington, man’s best friend, his dog Precious and a hoist of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and devoted friends. Freddie was preceded in death by his parents Alice and Fred William; daughter, Cecilia Ellis and siblings, Shedrick Williams, Alonzo Williams, Della Ree Hickerson, Audrey Womack and Emma Jean Williams.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, August 20, 2021, at the New Zion Christian Family Worship Center located at 5040 Taravella Road, Marrero LA, 70072. The visitation will begin at 9A.M. followed by an 11A.M. service. Pastor Cornel Bridges will officiate. Interment will follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery located at 3540-US 90, Avondale, LA 70072.
