Frances (Lightell) Barthelemy

Frances Lightell Barthelemy entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the age of 82. She was the devoted Wife of Clarence A. Barthelemy, Daughter of the late Luke & Ida Lightell. Loving Mother of Damind (Debbie) Landry, Doreen (Eric) Davis, Elaine Landry (EJ), Sulaine (Dwayne) Mitchell and the late Malinda Barthelemy, Sister of Gaylen (Sally) Lightell, the late Geraldine (Chester) Pichon, the late John (Vanessa) Lightell, and the late Donald (Jane) Lightell.
She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Joshua (Britney) Barthelemy, Damind Jr & Dionne Landry, Eric (Britnee) & Sanitra Davis, and Jody Jr, Dustin, & Seth (Paige) Ancar.
16 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and had a special bond with the late Mina and Cecile Sylve.
She attended both St. Jude & St. Patrick Catholic Church faithfully. Frances enjoyed spending time with both her family and church family, playing bingo, going to the casinos.
Frances was a member of St. Patrick's Rosary Group and “The Over the Hill Gang" that enjoyed the Turkey Shoots and holidays together.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at St. Patrick Catholic Church located at 28698 Hwy 23, Port Sulphur, LA 70083. The visitation will begin at 9 a.m., and the service will begin at 11 a.m. Father Gerald Stapleton officiating, and interment will follow at Barthelemy Cemetery in Diamond, LA.
Due to Covid – 19, face masks are encouraged.
