Faynette Jackson Walker

Faynette Jackson Walker departed this life on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Ochsner Medical Center- Westbank surrounded by her loving family. She was 61 years old.

Daughter of the late Carolyn Young Brown and Merlin Jackson. Beloved wife of Eric Walker Sr., mother of Eric L.Walker Jr. and Joshua J. Walker (Brittanny). Grandmother of Savion Simmons, Mya Johnson, Brayden J. Walker, Jaxon L. Walker, McKenzie Walker, and Leilani F. Walker. Beloved sister to Don Brown Sr. (Althea), Donna Atkins (Saville Sr.), Dana Brown-Acker (Arilyn), Derwin Brown Sr., Donya Brown, Dielda Robertson (Dennis), Keyna L. Jackson, La’Wanna Davis (Clarence), and La’Toya Bailey Williams (Mike). Sister-in-law to Albert Walker (Dannette), Brenda Walker Williams (Leonard) Glenda Hall (Kalton), Celestine Walker, Evalina Lestrick and Brenda Eudaly Walker.

She is preceded in death by her loving grand-mother Margaret Booker Young, Mother Carolyn Young Brown, mother-in-law Elizabeth Crawford Johnson Walker and her brother and sister-in laws Virginia Randolph, Eddie Lestrick III, Ernest Crawford, George Crawford, and Melvin Walker Sr.

Fay is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life services which will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at New Zion Baptist Church, 1131 Garden Road, Marrero La 70072. The visitation will begin at 8 A.M., & the service will begin at 10 A.M. Pastor Jordan L. Robinson Sr., officiating & interment will follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery Avondale, Louisiana.
