I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry (Psalm 40:1). On June 2, 2021, Faith Ann Subat Turlich passed away peacefully in her sleep at Ponchatoula Community Care Center. She was 84 years old. Faith Ann was born on June 25, 1936, in New Orleans, LA. Faith Ann was married to Peter Turlich Jr, for 58 years and had 5 daughters, 12 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. She impressed all with her memory, intelligence, extraordinary compassion, and spirit. Faith Ann’s greatest love was her family, and all her girls were proud to call her “Mom”! She was an exceptional mother. She was energetic, passionate, and a selfless wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Faith Ann was the proud wife of the late Peter G. Turlich Jr, mother of Belinda Scandurro (the late Michael John), Bridget Dickinson (Michael), Connie Colligan (Tilghmon), Corinne “Corie” Jeanne’ (Tommy), and the late Delta Ballay (Louis). She will be lovingly remembered as Granny by her grandchildren Nicole, Brendan, Rene, Shazie, Amir, Mike Jr, Peter Don, Stephanie, Kristen, Kiersten, Alex, and Isabella.
She was predeceased by her parents, Corinne Elizabeth Hoskin Subat and Frank Subat, her daughter, Delta Ballay and sister Hattie Barrios.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, June 14, 2021, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church located at 8968 LA – 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037 at 9 a.m. The funeral mass will begin at 11 a.m. Father Kyle Dave officiating and interment will be private.
