Evelyn W. Green

Evelyn W. Green departed this life on Saturday, January 1st, 2022, at 1:00 p.m.  She was 75 years old.  Daughter of the late Edgar Woody of Los Angeles, California and the late Ruby Hills Miller of Woodpark, LA.  Evelyn was the sister of the late Johnny C. Thomas, Parnell Miller and Gail Miller.  Survived by one brother Alvin Miller Jr, Aunt Velma H. Davis and Uncle Herbert Taylor.  3 sons, Terrence P. Green (Renata), Gregory Green, and Robert B. Green (Jennifer).  3 daughters, Evangeline M. Jackson (Warren Sr.), Gail M. Green, and Melissa G. Lards.  Grandmother of 20 and the great grandmother of 30.  Also left to cherish her memory are a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.  She will be truly missed by all. 

Evelyn was a faithful member of First Pentecostal Church in Marrero, LA.  Evelyn began her work and furthering her education with LSU Extension Service. She then began working in the medical field for more than thirty – five plus years.  She started at Jo – Ellen Smith Memorial Hospital and grew within where she moved to F. Edward Herbert Hospital where she was over the surgical technician department.  She also opened and managed the diabetic foot clinic at Meadowcrest Hospital, she later retired and then began her work in the ministry of Jesus Christ where she was baptized in His Name.  She was a faithful prayer warrior and worked in the Ministry of Helps. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life services which will be held on Saturday, January 15th, 2021, at Robinson Family Funeral Home located at 9611 LA – 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037.  The visitation will begin at 9 a.m., and the service will begin at 11 a.m.  Pastor Haywood Johnson of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Ironton officiating, and entombment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, LA. 

Due to COVID – 19, all attendees are required to wear a facemask or other proper facial covering.
