Eve was the second oldest of 7 children. She loved going to church, she looked forward to it every Sunday. Being one of the oldest, Eve was dependent upon helping to care for her siblings and other family members and she did it gracefully until she no longer could.
Eva, with her strong faith in God, was also a choir member for Zion Travelers Baptist Church and Bethlehem Baptist Choir. She sang in the choir for many years, often joining her family members singing for the Lord. Eva worked for the Plaquemines Parish Sheriffs Office as a cook for many years prior to her retirement.
Eva's extra special skill were sewing and cooking. She would often sit for hours working on her and her children's clothes along with many others. She enjoyed the times she spent in the kitchen preparing meals for the holidays with her mother so that all of her family could enjoy. She also loved to look at movies that had to do with "Madea", she would watch them repeatedly as though she had seen them for the first time. She also loved listening to the old school gospel music.
The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice medical staff and Riverbend Nursing Home for caring for Eva in her last few months. It is with great appreciation that they cared for this amazing woman, our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt and friend.
