Eva Mae Miller Dobard transitioned from labor to reward on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at University Hospital in New Orleans, La. She was 86 years old and a native of Phoenix, La, and a longtime resident of Nairn until Hurricane Katrina.
Mrs. Dobard was a retired educator with the Plaquemines Parish School Board with many years of passionate and dedicated service. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph B.C. of Phoenix, La.
Daughter of the late Bernice Arnolie Miller and Richard Miller Sr. Beloved wife of the late Bennie Dobard Jr. Devoted mother of Raynard (Cynthia), and Lonnie Dobard, and the late Zelda and Farrell Dobard. Grandmother of Lonnie II, Lenzi and Laneshia Dobard, and the late Terrill Dobard. She was the great grandmother of Terrill Dobard II. Sister of the late Evonne Smith, Margarite Lacour, Richard Miller Jr, Freddick Miller and Lorriane Miller. She is survived by several devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life services on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at St. Joseph Baptist Church located at 158 St. Joseph Ln, Phoenix, La. The visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a 12-noon service. Pastor Nadal Cosse officiating, and entombment will follow in Cook Cemetery in Phoenix, La.
