Eunicestine Tally Williams

Dr. Eunicestine "Mama Eunice" Talley Williams was born on November 30, 1939, to the late Lem Talley and Elizabeth Satterwhite Talley in Pine Mountain, Georgia. Her Christian journey began at an early age. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in New Orleans (Carrollton) for over 16 years. She was a faithful greeter who always wore a warm smile.

Dr. Williams was married to the late Eddie Williams Sr. To their union they raised three children LaCreda Joy Williams, Robert Williams Sr, Kenneth Talley. Dr. Eunice Williams was a self-employed Cosmetologist for over 65 years and the owner of New Expression Full-Service Salon Until Katrina destroyed the city. Mama Eunice joined Vogue Espree under the leadership of Dr. Mercedes Toregano and was the treasurer of that educational club followed by joining Exquisite Creations under the leadership of Dr. Jacqueline Clark and served as 2nd vice president.

She furthered her career with the Louisiana State Beauticians and Barbers Association and the National Beauty Culturist League where she obtained her PHD in Arts and Science. She was a member of the State and National Hair Cutting Traveling Team.
Dr. Williams was awarded "Woman of the Year" in 2000 with Theta Nu Sigma National Sorority Chi Chapter. She took pride in training other stylist on how to use the weave machine for that natural look which was becoming a new trend. She traveled all over the world as an international stylist and educator. She landed a job at JC Penney (Lakeside location) where she enjoyed working until, she retired.
On Friday, July 18, 2025, the angels carried Mama Eunice through those pearly gates where she was reunited with her parents, her husband and brothers Haywood (Sarah), Max and Palmer.

Left to celebrate her life and cherish her memories are her devoted children, Joy Williams, Robert Williams Sr., Kenneth Talley, Noreen Young and Ann Jefferson; her siblings Kathryn Garner and John Talley (Annie) as well as 44 Grandchildren, several Great Grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, August 8, 2025, at the Carrollton Avenue Church of Christ 4440 South Carrollton Ave, New Orleans LA. 70119. The visitation will begin at 9AM followed by a 10AM service. Brother Kirk Garrison will officiate, and entombment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery 4000 Norman Mayer Ave., New Orleans LA. 70122
