Eugene Duplessis, Sr.

Eugene Duplessis, Sr. passed away with his family by his side on November 2nd, 2024, at the age of 87 years. He was the husband to the late Louise Johnson Duplessis and the father to the late Eugene 'Ski' Duplessis Jr. Eugene Duplessis Sr. leaves his son Everett (Valerie) Duplessis; grandchildren, Aiesha (Beonka) Duplessis, Bailey Duplessis, Jordan Duplessis, Justin Brown; and devoted friend Juanita Ross to celebrate his life and to continue his legacy.

Eugene Duplessis Sr. is the son of the late Ernest Duplessis, Sr. and the late Virginia Williams Duplessis; the brother of Lois (Philmor) Solomon, the late Antoine 'Chine' Duplessis, the late Violia Bivins and the late Claudia Greg. Eugene Duplessis Sr. also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones.

Eugene Duplessis Sr. was originally from Phoneix, La and later moved to Marrero, La into the Lincolnshire Subdivision. During Eugene's life he worked as a Chemical Operator at Chevron Ornite in Belle Chasse, La where he would retire from years later. Lincolnshire became home for Eugene Duplessis Sr., and his family. He was invested in his community by being the chairman of the Neighborhood Association. Eugene Duplessis Sr. was not only a wonderful family man but an individual that enjoyed helping his community.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life service which will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Robinson Family Funeral Home 9611 La - 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037. The visitation will begin at 9:00 am and the funeral service will follow at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale, LA.
