Esvin Jacinto Carrera-Pineda

Esvin Jacinto "Pit" Carrera-Pineda was born on July 27, 1970 in El Progreso, Guatemala to the late Efrain Carrera and Marie Clementina Pineda Sanabria. After making the United States his home over 30 years ago, Pit built a life marked by hard work, love and resilience. He passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in New Orleans LA. along with his fiance Zennitria "Nitra" Stevenson and stepson Jarrell Stevenson Sr. He was 55 years old. Beloved father of Johana Elizabeth Carrera, Isaiah Anthony Powell, Edwin Carrera-Frost and Alexander Manuel Carrera-Frost.

Pit's deep love for his children was evident in the way he provided for, protected and encouraged them. Although his passing leaves a deep void in their life, the bond and love he shared with his children will forever live. Pit is also survived by other relatives and devoted friends who loved him dearly.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, August 29, 2025, at New Home Ministries located at 1616 Carondelet St, New Orleans LA. 70130. The visitation will begin at 9AM followed by a 10AM service. Pastor Samuel R. Blakes Sr. will officiate. Interment will be private.
