Eric Scott Poland
Eric Scott Poland, age 35, sadly left us on Saturday, August 24, 2024. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 20, 1989, and was a resident of Belle Chasse for the last 25 years.
He is survived by his two children, Joel and Brooklyn Poland, their mother, Melanie West: his mother Glenda Treme' (Josh Treme'), his father Eric Hoormann, his siblings, Chad Collier, Sara Marse (Garrett), Cameron Buels, Savannah Treme', and stepsister, Joshlynn Treme'. He is also survived by his grandmother Lena Poland and predeceased by his grandfather, the late Clyde Poland, and grandmother, the late Catherine DiMartino. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Eric had a contagious smile that brought joy to all around him. He had an enormous heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and brightened any room he entered. He was a beloved father, son, and brother. He will be remembered for all the love he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them, and if you knew him, you knew it. He will be missed dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 2, 2024, at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church Belle Chasse with a reception following. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church Belle Chasse, 8828 LA-23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037.
