CSM Enos "Nealy" Camel Jr. completed his mission on June 5, 2023 at 5:09am, at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. Enos was born on June 22, 1940, in Phoenix, Louisiana to Enos Camel Sr. and Sedonia Bienemy, being the second born male of seven children.
Enos was united in holy matrimony to Mary Frances Manuel on November 10, 1962, and this union was blessed with their only child, Dwayne Melvin Camel, Sr. (wife, Dionne Gilbert Camel); who he is also survived by, along with his grandchildren: Daja Monique Camel, Dwayne Melvin Camel, Jr., Christian Gilbert, and Dyllon Gilbert Louis. Great-grandchildren: Jailyn Williams, Royal Deron Winchester, Kyran Mykel Marks, Kailee Monique Marks, Dwayne Melvin Camel III, Braxton Malcom Camel, and Kamden Koa Camel. His siblings: Pearl Hill, Alfred Camel, Ernest Camel, and Mitchell Camel. And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, and older sisters: Evelyn Detrion and Olevia Page. He was known as a man of honor, respect, and family.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life service which will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Robinson Family Funeral Home 9611 LA - 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037. The visitation will begin at 9 a.m., and the service will begin at 11 a.m. Pastor Tyrone Edwards of Zion Travelers Baptist Church of Phoenix, La., officiating. Interment will follow on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 12:30 p.m., at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery located in Slidell, LA.
