Elton Frederick Obituary

Elton Frederick, a native of Davant, Louisiana in Plaquemines Parish, was born on August 23, 1953, in New Orleans, Louisiana. With his loving wife by his side, he entered eternal rest at his home in Belle Chasse, Louisiana on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the age of 72.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Michelle Delacroix Frederick; his sons, Chad Frederick, Jared Frederick (Ashley), and Zach Frederick; his cherished grandchildren, Nathan and Jessie Frederick; and his siblings, Kevin Frederick and Inez Thibodeaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Leopold Frederick and Veronica Tremè Frederick, and his brothers, Travis Clement Frederick and Joel Medric Frederick Sr.

Elton will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and great-uncle whose presence brought laughter wherever he went. He touched countless lives with his quick sense of humor, genuine warmth, and outgoing personality. Deeply devoted to his family, he also cherished meaningful friendships, great food, and his unwavering loyalty as a lifelong New Orleans Saints fan. Elton found his greatest joy in time spent with those he loved, and he had a rare gift for putting people at ease, turning ordinary moments into lasting memories through his endless jokes and storytelling.

Elton attended Phoenix High School, graduating with the Class of 1971. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, proudly following in his father’s footsteps, and served until August 1974. He dedicated 37 years of loyal service to Alliance Refinery before retiring in 2014. Elton was also a proud member of the American Legion, Paul Narcisse Post 430.

Elton lived with a deep joy for life and an open heart. Throughout his cancer journey, he chose to share his experience with honesty, humor, and strength, offering encouragement, laughter, and hope to others facing similar paths. His legacy lives on in the stories he told, the love he gave freely, and the countless lives he brightened simply by being himself.
