Eliza Ross Robinson-Robertson

Eliza Ross Robinson (Robertson) peacefully passed away at her home in Algiers on Monday, September 10, 2024 at the age of 80.
Daughter of the late Willie Ross Sr. and Eliza Santigo Ross. Devoted wife of the late Samuel Robinson for 51 years. Loving mother of Catrice Robinson Winesberry, Sedric Robinson (Jessie) and the late Giselle Thomas. Grandmother of Jarrett Wilson (Shannon), Michael Wilson (Ka'Lynn), Savannah Robinson, Jeremiah Robinson and River Thomas. Sister of Rose Marie Sisler (Pastor Cornell), and the late Katie Cavonas, Willie Ross Sr., Johnny Ross Sr., Rose Mary Reggins, Clarence Ross, Joyce Britton, Lionel Ross Sr., Louis Ross and Bessie Stewart. Sister in law of Gloria and Lydia Ross. Godmother of Akayla Clayton. Devoted friend of Yvonne Berry, Leona Roy and Lisa Casno. Mrs. Robinson is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was a graduate of L.B. Landry High School class of 1963. She also attended Holy Cross College where she studies nursing. She was employed at the former Belle Chasse State School for 30 years. Her passion was praying for and helping people. She served on the Deaconess Ministry, Evangelist Ministry, Usher Ministry and as a VBS teacher at her beloved church Second Baptist Church of Algiers for many years. She also cooked for the Double Diet Ministry and was affiliated with the Westside Missionary Baptist Association and the Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Association.

Relatives and friends of the family, members of Second Baptist Church and all neighboring churches, Jefferson Parish School Board and Streets Dept., UPS and Coca-Cola of Harahan are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Robinson Family Funeral Home 9611 LA-23, Belle Chasse LA. 70037. The visitation will begin at 9AM followed by a 10AM service. Pastor Andre' Sigler will officiate. There will be a private burial immediately following the service.
