Elisa Patricia Hingle Lightell (1956-2025)

Elisa Patricia Hingle Lightell entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the age of 68. She was born in Buras, LA on September 17, 1956, to Lois Denesse Hingle and the late Jules "Sammy" Hingle. The oldest of four siblings, she took her job of being a big sister very seriously. She attended Buras High School & graduated in 1973 before becoming a devoted wife and mother.

Elisa was a devoted Christian who cherished the teachings of Jesus Christ. Christian values informed every aspect of her life and molded her into the beloved person she was. She was a devoted grandmother (and dog grandmother), sister, aunt, and friend.
A native of Buras, LA, she volunteered at Port Sulphur High School during the football season, and at St. Jude Catholic Church and Elementary School. She was a resident of Breaux Bridge, LA after hurricane Katrina, where she worked at Hebert's Superette for 12 years before retiring and moving to Maurice, LA in 2021.

Beloved mother of Michael Lightell Jr. (Alicia) and Christopher Lightell (Brittney). Sister of Vickie Hingle Prout (Rollen) and the late Cynthia Hingle Dinet (the late Michael), and the late Anastasia Hingle "Stacey" Taylor (Benjamin). She is also survived by her mother Lois Hingle, five grandchildren, Tyler, Krystal Marie, Cameron, Krystal Alyssa & Jasmine, and three great-grandchildren, Jahiem, Jacob & Julie. She is also survived by multiple nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Elisa was preceded in death by her father, Jules "Sammy" Hingle, her sister Anastasia "Stacey" Taylor, and joined in death by her sister Cynthia Dinet.

The Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 8968-LA 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037, at 11AM. The viewing will begin at 10AM. Father Kyle Dave will officiate and entombment will follow at Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery, 35736-35748 Hwy 11, Buras, LA 70041.
