Eddie Arguelles

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Eddie Arguelles. He was a beloved Father, Brother, Grandfather, Uncle, Cousin and Friend, who departed this life peacefully on Friday, january 23, 2026 at West Jefferson Hospital surrounded by family and love. He was a hard worker, always optimistic, enjoyed spending time with family and loved his Cuban coffee.

Eddie was born on August, 15, 1956 in Camaguey, Cuba to parents;
Enrique Arguelles and Olga Pellerano. He emigrated to New Orleans at the age of 15, in December 1971. He did so with his uncle and aunt, Francisco and Trinidad Pellerano and their children, his cousins.

Eddie was father to four children, Arleen Arguelles Jones, (Husband
Barrett Jones), Eddie Meyers, London Meyers and
Elegua Ragan. He was a grandfather to 5 grandsons and 3 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at One Accord Ministries
713 S. Jamie Blvd., Avondale LA. 70094. The visitation will begin at 10AM followed by an 11AM service officiated by Pastor Andy Pellerano. Internment will follow in Woodland Park Memorial Cemetery9820 Nine Mile Point Rd. W. Westwego, Louisiana 70094.
