Obituary
Dwyane Coleman II, known as "Lil Man," by his family and friends, departed this life at the youthful age of 18 on Friday, June 23, 2023. He was born May 16, 2005, to his parents Dwyane Coleman I and Shernitha Shanell Clark Lestrick. He was the devoted brother of Briana Coleman. He was born and raised in Marrero, Louisiana and was a member of the Church of Christ located in Belle Chasse, Louisiana where he was baptized at the age of 12. At the time of his passing, Dwyane was a student at JCFA Charter School where he was preparing to graduate with his Louisiana High School Diploma. Dwyane was an A B student but never wanted anyone to know. He also previously attended L.W. Higgins High School where he made a huge impression on the staff and faculty and students there. As a young child he played football at Pard Playground under the coaching of Coach Woody and Brandon Sharp. Dwyane and his team went on to win back-to-back championships. Dwyane at a young age developed many talents. He taught himself to sew. He enjoyed designing shoes and shirts and he loved to rap. Anyone that knows Dwyane knows that he was a caring, happy, friendly, playful being that could bring a smile to anyone's face. He genuinely had a loving spirit and always had a smile on his face. He shared a very special bond with his mother and his grandmothers who unconditionally loved him. Dwyane was preceded in death by his grandfather James Coleman Sr. and Uncle Cornelius Morton Dumas Dwyane's memories will be forever treasured by his loving Parents: Dwyane Coleman I (Sandra) and Shernitha Shanell Clark Lestrick (Norman) His sister: Briana Coleman, his grandparents: Faye White; Curtis Dumas (Diane); Joseph Starks Jr.; and Katherine Williams, his uncle's Donald Ray Clark Jr. (Sonia) and Curtis Clark Sr., and aunts Peggy Taylor, Larkisha Coleman, and Kayla Dumas and by a host of cousins, other extended family and friends who will truly miss him. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the Louisa St. Church of Christ located at 3644 Louisa St. New Orleans LA. 70126. The visitation will begin at 9am followed by a 10am service. Minister Joseph Alexander will officiate, and interment will follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery 3540 US-90, Avondale LA Funeral planning entrusted to Robinson Family Funeral Home 9611 LA-23, Belle Chasse LA.70037.
