Drake Elijah Johnson

Drake Elijah Johnson, age 16, passed away suddenly on September 1, 2025, at Manning Family Children's Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Born to Percy Devin Johnson and Marilyn Johnson on December 8, 2008, in Gretna, Louisiana. Drake was a beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was a junior at Belle Chasse High School, where he was known for his bright smile, kind spirit, and the joy he brought to everyone around him.
Drake was autistic and had a unique and beautiful way of connecting with the world. He loved video games, bowling, golf, and trips to the car wash. He shared a special bond with his pug, Olie, and was famous for his warm greetings and thoughtful reminders to "wear your seatbelts."

Drake's life, though far too short, was filled with love, joy, and light. He leaves behind his parents, Percy D. Johnson and Marilyn Johnson, his brother, Percy Devin Johnson Jr. His grandparents are Debra D. Johnson, Arlon and Jason Forest, Barbara Savoie (Karl), and Marilyn Johnson (Percy). God-Sister Ocean Addison and a host of family members and friends who will forever treasure his memory.  He preceded in death his grandfather's Karl L Savoie and Percy Johnson.

Services to be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Greater Morning Star Baptist Church at 14747 LA-23 Belle Chasse, La. Visitation will begin at 9:00am. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am.
