Dorrean Demone Lewis Sr.

Dorrean Demone Lewis Sr passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022, at the age of 41.  He was the husband of Nykia Smith.  They shared 8 years of marriage together.  Dorrean was born in Bridge City Louisiana and lived in Marrero Louisiana.  He was the son of Floyd Davis, Sr. and the late Cheryl Lewis.  He attended Delgado Community College.  He was employed with Surrey's Restaurant.   He enjoyed his family and will be remembered for his handsome smile and gentle heart.  He is survived by his wife, Nykia Smith, one daughter, Jada Smith, one son, Dorrean Lewis, Jr, one grandson, Jonathan Polk, Jr., and his father, Floyd (Marisa) Davis, Sr.  He was proceeded in death by his mother, the late Cheryl Lewis, his maternal grandmother, Lillian Lewis, and his paternal grandmother, Vonne Davis.

Relatives and friends of the family, as well as pastor, officers, and members of Little Zion M.B.C. of Avondale and all neighboring churches, members of Floyd’s Official Services, and employees of Avondale Container Yard are invited to attend the funeral services on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Heavenly Star Baptist Church located at 1020 Cohen Street Marrero LA. 70072. The visitation will begin at 10 A.M. followed by a 11 A.M. service.  Pastor Aubrey Wallace is the host pastor and Pastor Damien Brown of Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Avondale will officiate.
