Dorothy Theresa Bean Tinson

Dorothy Bean Tinson departed this life on Monday, November 11, 2024, at her home in Gretna La. Born and raised in the 7th ward of New Orleans La., she became a native of Pointe-ala-Hache, La. when she became the beloved wife of the late August Tinson. She is the daughter of the late James and Orelia Bean. The loving mother of Orbon Sr. (Sharon), Trent Sr. (Lyrissa), and Garland Tinson. Devoted grandmother of Trent Jr., Janae, Theron Sr., Orbon Jr., Adasia, Garen, Grant Tinson, Janiece Harvey (Deceased), Cassie and Curtneka Tinson. The great grandmother of Taleeyah, Trent III, Orbon III, Zoey, Teagan, Theron Jr. Tinson, and Jaron Narcisse Jr. Loving sister of Delores Jett and the late Hilda Nelson, and the late Verna Ancar. The deceased is also survived by four sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Employees of Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office, Inframark LLC, and Plaquemines Parish Government are invited to attend the Mass of a Christian Burial on November 25th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 17605 Highway 15 Pointe-ala-Hache, La. 70082 Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Celebrant Father Sampson. Burial at St. Thomas Catholic Church Cemetery.
