Doris Ann Edgerson Barthelemy

Doris Ann Edgerson Barthelemy  transitioned from labor to reward on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at her home in Port Sulphur, La surrounded by her loving family.  She was 77 years old and was a native and lifelong resident of Port Sulphur.

Daughter of the late Milton and Viola Wells Edgerson Sr.  Devoted wife of Deacon Joseph Barthelemy.  Beloved mother of Varel L. (Sherman) Williams Sr., Bobby J. (Dorothea) Barthelemy Sr., and Lanetta M. Barthelemy. Cherished grandmother of Torri Lynn Ragas, Sherman Williams III, Brandi and Jeanne Smith, Lauren, Courtney, Bobby Jr., Orrin and Joseph Barthelemy, Jardin (Chase) Dugan and Shedreanna Johnson. Great grandmother of Jordan Hicks and Lilia James. Sister of the late Raymond, Milton Jr., O'Neal, Roosevelt and Winston Edgerson. Sister-in-law of Ollie Thomas, Leona Narcisse, Mercedes Guerrin, Oliver and Simon Barthelemy. Godmother of Dale Williams Sr., Joellen Raye and Celeste Giles. Best friend of Stella Ragas. Devoted cousin of Iris Givens, Joan Smith, Sonya Isidore, Donesia Williams, Brigette Bolton, Felecia Robinson, Juan and Kendrick Jones Jr.  Deceased is also survived by a host of neices, nephews, cousins, devoted friends and her church family at First Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Empire.  She was also predeceased by 3 brother-in-laws and 5 sister-in-laws.

Relatives and friends of the family, pastor, officers  and members of First Mt. Zion B.C. and all neighboring churches of Plaquemines Parish are invited to attend the home going celebration on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the First Mt. Zion B.C. Located at 32550 Highway 23 Empire, La 70050 at 11A.M. The visitation will begin at 8 A.M.  Dr. Reginald H. Burl Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Memorial Park Cemetery .
