Dolores Grant Justice

DOLORES GRANT JUSTICE departed this life peacefully at her home in Harvey LA. surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday October 6, 2021. She was 91 years old.

Daughter of the late Charlie Grant and Ella Thomas Grant. Wife of the late Vernell Justice.  Devoted mother of Evelyn Douglas (late Clarence), June Washington, Mattie Justice, Sharon Johnson, Herbert Grant, Marilyn Grant, Anthony Girod and the late Lavern Justice.  Sister of the late Leona, Edna, Ella, Gladys, Ruth, Duetta, Charles, Thomas and Leo Grant.  Also left to cherish her memories are twenty-two grandchildren, sixty great grandchildren, twenty-one great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, October 15, 2021, at St Stephen Missionary Baptist Church located at 1738 LB Landry Blvd. New Orleans LA 70114. The visitation will begin at 8A.M. followed by a 10A.M. service. Rev. Norman Francis is the host pastor, Rev. Norman Smith of the Little Zion Baptist Church will officiate. Entombment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park 1225 Whitney Ave., Gretna, LA. 70056.
