Diane “Londa” Davis an Electrical Engineer for the Louisiana D.O.T.D. transitioned from labor to reward on Wednsday, January 9, 2019 at Ochsner Hospital Main Campus. She was 57 years old and a native of Avondale, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA.
Daughter of the late Yvonne Davis. Devoted and loving mother of Pastor Damien J. Brown and Kerry Brown Jr. Cherished grandmother of Zashaun Espinoza, Kerrick Brown, Kerryelle Brown, Kerry Leagea, Kiree Brown, Logan Warner and Khoi Brown. Beloved sister of Joseph (Shirley) Davis, Glen (Darlene) Davis, Terry Davis, Reginald (Lisa) Davis, Floyd Davis, Darrell (Pauline) Davis of Houston, TX, Darlene Davis and Crystal Davis. Niece of Anna Green, Lois Henry, Janetta Hall, Robert (Shirley) Davis Jr., John Davis and Thelma Mitchell. Devoted cousin and friend of Trina Davis and Jacqueline Price. Godmother of Ronika Gross. Deceased also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends and coworkers.
Relatives and friends of the family, Pastor, officers and members of Little Zion M.B.C. of Avondale, Second St. John B.C. of Avondale, St. Joseph M.B.C. of Marrero, Dominion and Power Ministries, St. Mary B.C. of Marrero, Mt. Herman B.C. of Avondale and all neighboring churches, Westside Baptist Association and employees of D.O.T.D. District 2 are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Second St. John Baptist Church located at 242 Avondale Garden Road at 10 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Pastor Charlie R. Davis Host Pastor. Pastor Melvin Zeno of St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Pastor Damien J. Brown Eulogist. Internment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale, LA. A traditional Jazz procession will follow.
