On September 12, 1954, a beautiful baby boy was born at 1:00am to Mr. Timothy Kirt and Mrs. Mary Kirt. He was given the name, Daniel Kirt. His father was a quartet singer and a preacher, exposing him to Christianity at a very young age and he was baptized early on.
Daniel attended the W.O. Boston High School of Lake Charles, LA, where he was a great football player and he later graduated. He traveled and lived in the Centerville & Verton Ville areas for some years with family.
Daniel had a passionate career in auto care. For years, he was known for his gifted hands, up until his health challenges worsened, but Daniel didn't allow that to interrupt his many other passions. His hobbies included: fishing, hunting, carpentry, collecting fishing polls and knives. He also enjoyed singing, as his father did and camping out doors. He was such a strong willed person and was adamant about what he thought about a subject. All who knew him knew that he would give you the shirt off of his back, if he saw you needed it.
In July 2023, he met the love of his life, Ms. Betty Williams. They were married August 2nd that same year and he moved to New Orleans, LA, where the two created a wholesome life together, until his glorious transition from this world.
Daniel was ordained as a deacon on December 31, 2023 at the Consuming Fire Power Center LA South Campus, under the leadership of Apostle Darren L. Williams Sr.
Daniel leaves to cherish his memories, wife Betty Williams Kirt, 2 daughters Catrease Davis (Lake Charles, LA) and Theresa Barrett (Houston TX), 2 sons D'Marcus Sowells & Timothy Kirt (Lake Charles, LA) his bonus children Gytonnea Williams, Michael Williams and Darren Williams (New Orleans, LA), one god son Travis LeDeoux (Lake Charles, LA) 1 Aunt Betty Gerew (Reading, Pennsylvania) and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Daniel was preceded in death by his Father Timothy Kirt, his mother Mary Kirt, and his 2 sisters, Rose Sterling & Carlond August.
