Daniel Gil Brothers returned to his heavenly home on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at his home in Marrero, LA. He was 67 years old and was born on December 4, 1953, in Lafayette, LA, to the union of the late Nelson Brothers, and Iris Perrodin Brothers.
Daniel was a very loving and compassionate person to relatives, family, and friends. Mr. Daniel was a former truck driver for Macabar and a yard foreman for Mi Swaco for many years.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his beloved wife of 20 years, Trudell Diggs Brothers, two sons Daniel Brothers (Tina) of Gibson, La, Devin Johnson (companion De’Angela Levy) of Franklin, LA, and a loving and caring daughter Raxyl Brothers Jackson (Eric Michael) of Gray, LA. Five grandchildren, Adrian, Hayden Jackson, Alayshia, Danica, Daniel Brothers, and Leora Johnson. Two Stepdaughters, LaTonya Dillon - Loston of Marrero, LA, Tiera Stringer (Calvin) of Gonzales, LA, and four step grandchildren, De’Shia Dillon, Lorenzo Loston Jr., Jamario Dillon, and Javon Antonio. Four Sisters, Hazel B. Oliver of New Orleans, LA, Catherine B. Green, Doris Lewis and Lois B. Thomas (Dewey Thomas) all of Opelousas, LA. A special friend Terrell Broussard of Lawtell, LA. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.
He is proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents Adolph Gerard and Regina Mouton Brothers, maternal grandparents Andreol Gil and Sedonia Colla Perrodin. His parents, Nelson Joseph Brothers and Iris Lily Perrodin Brothers. Three brothers, Tresley Brothers, Delmas Brothers and Matthew Brothers, one sister Lily Mae Brothers. His niece, Tara Michelle Thomas and nephew Cedric Green. His great nephew Avante De’von Pierre.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Visitation of Our Lady Catholic Church located at 3500 Ames BLVD, Marrero, LA 70072, at 10 a.m. The visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Father Jude Emunemu officiating, and entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Avondale, LA.
Due to COVID – 19, all are encouraged to wear a facemask or other proper facial covering and practice social distancing.
