Cynijah was called into rest Sunday May 17, 2026, at the tender age of eleven. Cynijah was born February 27, 2015, to Dwayne and Cyndrea McKee. Cynijah was a talented, joyful, fun-loving child who enjoyed being with, learning, growing, and celebrating her big brother D'wyne. Cynijah lived and grew up in Marrero, La where she attended and was a fifth-grade student at C. T. Janet Elementary.
Her hobbies were singing, playing her keyboard, painting, jewelry, journal, pen, and candle making, family game and movie nights. She played various sports at Pard Playground and with The She League. Her passions and plans were to become an event planner and sing on Broadway.
Cynijah was preceded in death by her Grandfather Darrell "Poppy" Heim Sr., Grand-Nanny Almedia "Pokey" Phoenix, and Aunt Maw-Maw Linda Turner. She leaves behind her parents Dwayne and Cyndrea, brother D'wyne, grandparents Letha Heim, Derry (Delores) McKee, Brenda Turner, her aunts and uncles Darrell Jr., Le'Kisha, Kimberley, Jarvis, Shaletha Heim, Lucretia Jenkins, Derry Turner, Thaddeus, Keisha, Jay'Lonie McKee, and Paquella Williams, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends who will love and celebrate her forever.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday June 6, 2026, at Life Center Cathedral 2100 Ames Blvd Marrero, La 70072. Host Pastor, Bishop J.D. Wiley, Pastor Terrance Green, Officiating.
Visitation will begin at 9a.m. and Service will begin at 10a.m. Intement will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park 1225 Whitney Ave, Gretna, La 70056 Repast: St. Rosalie Cafetorium 628 1ST Ave Harvey, La 70058
