Cleo Taylor Braud, born on August 29, 1953, in New Orleans, Louisiana, departed this earthly life on January 10, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Cleo was known for her sweet smile, her ability to make everyone feel loved and at ease. She left a lasting impression simply by being herself, a loving, giving and kind person. In the same way, Cleo carried a feisty spirit and unfiltered honesty that was just as much a part of who she was, which made her the strong spirited woman that she was. Strong willed and honest to a fault, she definitely had no problem of letting you know what was on her mind. Cleo adored spending time with Thelma and Louise, her two furry babies. She enjoyed her time at Walmart, working alongside her friends. Her active life led her to enjoy working alongside her husband with their beloved horses and cows, on their cattle ranch.
She is survived by her loving husband, Malcolm Brannel Braud; her sons Timothy Taylor (Symanthia Bellock), Kevin Taylor (Jasmine), Michael Gaines and Jovan "Malcolm" Taylor (Ariel Ragas), her daughters Tanya Braud Faciane (Albert) and Toiya Braud. Cleo was predeceased in death by her parents, Royal and Pearl Jones and Hewitt C Prout Sr and Beatrice Prout. She is predeceased in death by her two beautiful daughters, Angie Riley (Clevon) and Lakesha Lightell (Donald). She is also loved by her siblings, Deborah Williamson (Haywood), Rory Jones Sr (Rolanda), Meda Prout (Perry), Jerome Jones Sr (Debra), Roy B Jones (Deceased) (Laverne), Bryce K Jones (deceased), Hewitt Prout Jr (Carla), Faith Williams (Emmett, Jerry Prout Sr (Lisa) and Thelma Howard (Terrance). Always keeping Cleo on her toes and loved was a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and her cattle ranch community.
