On August 18,1942 in New Orleans, a baby girl was born to the parentage of Dorothy Williams and Nathaniel Adams Sr. They named their little angel, Claudette.
Claudette was reared in Marrero, La. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Marrero, La. She also attended Southern University of New Orleans, La.
Claudette accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1950 and was baptized at St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church. She later united with Second Highway Baptist Church. Claudette would later return to St. Joseph MBC as led of the Lord. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and working her search-a-word puzzles.
Claudette was the example of the virtuous woman described in Proverbs 31. Che does er family good and not evil all the days of her life. She extends her hand to the poor. She reaches out her hands to the needy. Strength and honor are her clothing. She shall rejoice in time to come. She shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness. Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works bring her praise at the gates.
In the eighty-second season of her life, at 9:05 p.m., on February 4th in the year of our Lord 2025, the Lord called her name. He said, "Come unto me, Claudette, and rest.
She now rests with those who preceded her in death, which includes: her daughter, Demone Harris, her parents, Dorothy and Nathaniel Adam's Jr., and her siblings: Gerald and Randy Williams.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a dear friend to many. Her life will forever be remembered and cherished in the hearts of her surviving loved ones: her son, Dwight (Jackie) Harris Jr., of Marrero, La. and daughter, Danielle Harris-Sa'vage of Harker Heights, TX.; and brother, Byron Williams of California.
Next to her children, the loves of her life were her grandchildren: Shamieka, Shakara, Dwight III (Trey) and Maya. She also has 3 great grandchildren: Mekhi, Tru and Johnnie.
