Candy Marie Mitchell

Candy M. Mitchell departed this life on Tuesday, April 13, 2021.  She was 41 years old and was born in New Orleans on September 8, 1979, to Betty Jean Mitchell and Leo Clark.  Candy was a true believer of her Heavenly Father. She was a loving and dedicated mother to her three children and one step child. She remained faithful to God even throughout her illness. Candy’s heart was made of gold, she always was ready to lend a helping hand. Candy fought a good fight, she kept the faith, and finished her race.  

She leaves to cherish her memories to her 3 children, Gerald, Kenneth, Journie, her devoted friend Ronald Delaney. One step child Ronald Delaney Jr. 2 aunts Regina Mitchell Ussin (Louis), and Cynthia Riley. 1 sister Trechell Murray-Williams (Antonio). Her late brothers Leo Mitchell and Kenneth Mitchell, her aunts Carolyn Scarborough, Marilyn Scarborough and her grandmother Jannie Scarborough.  Also left to cherish her memories, are a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and devoted friends.  
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life services on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church located at 1701 Estalote Ave., Harvey, La 70058, at 11 a.m.  The limited visitation will begin at 10 a.m.  Pastor Ricky Johnson officiating and interment will follow at Holt Cemetery in New Orleans, La.  

Due to COVID – 19, EVERYONE in attendance MUST wear a facemask or other proper facial covering and practice social distancing.
