Bruce Evan Merrick

Bruce Evan Merrick entered eternal life on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank, he was 70 years old. Bruce was born on July 10, 1955, to the late Andrew Merrick Jr. and the late Audrey Taylor. He was the father of Bruce Evan Neal (Irelle Scott), Brooke Sentrell Brown and Courtney Mallard. Grandfather of Se'maj Neal, Bruce Evan Neal Jr., Bryan Barakat and Aiden Barakat. Bruce was the brother of Merlisha, Karry Sr. (Deborah), Iris "Rachel", and Jimmy Merrick, Melinda Franklin (Harland Sr.), Peggy Garrett and the late John "Magoo" Merrick (Sharmaine), and Andrew "Black" Merrick (Denise). Godfather of Narshain Taylor. Bruce is also survived his aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends. Bruce's family truly appreciate the prayers, support and love they have received during this difficult time.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Robinson Family Funeral Home 9611 LA-23, Belle Chasse LA. 70037. The visitation will begin at 1PM followed by a 2PM service. Rev. Theodore Turner of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church of Boothville LA. will officiate. Interment will be private.
