Bevan James Jones Sr. was called home on July 21, 2022, at the age of 49. He was born to Elder Byron P. Jones Sr. (Sylvia), and Hazel Jones Klu, in New Orleans, LA, on November 2, 1972, and was a resident of Gretna, LA. Bevan was a 1992 graduate of West Jefferson High School. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. He loved spending time with family and friends. Bevan had an incredible sense of humor and loved bringing a smile to others. To know him was to love him. He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Gretna, LA. Bevan leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sheena Manuel Jones; Children: Bevan Jones Jr., India Toppins (Chris), Kolby Manuel, Caleb Jones, and Laila Jones; Grandchildren: Chance, Collin, Korik, Josiah, Kash, Kannon, Bailie, and Za’riah; Parents: Elder Byron P. Jones Sr. and Sylvia Jones, and Hazel Jones Klu; Siblings: Michelle Jones, Byron Jones Jr., Aieda McFarland (Michael), Joy Colbert (Antoine), Brandon Jones, and Sarah Bergeron (Andrew); Sister-in-laws: Jessica Pollard and Erica Pollard; Godfather, Pastor Wilfred Brown Jr.; Godmother, Cynthia Hawkins. He also leaves to mourn and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Superintendent Robert P Jones Jr. and Missionary Elouise Jones, Sarah Cross Francis, and Ethel and Lawrence Simmons; Mother-in-law, Yvette Manuel Pollard; his Niece, Abiah Jones, and his nephew, Byron Jones III.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Robinson Family Funeral Home, 9611 Highway 23 Belle Chasse, LA 70037. Services will begin at 1:30 pm.
Due to COVID – 19, it is required that everyone in attendance wear a facemask.
